Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste wine
Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste is run by François-Xavier Borie, who also manages Château Haut-Batailley. Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste is a property of about 55 hectares (136 acres) and produces a Pauillac Fifth Grand Cru.

The vines of Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste sit on hilltops where they plunge their roots through the Gunz gravel soil to the limestone bedrock. In fact, the name Grand Puy, meaning “great peak,” refers to the excellent location of the property, where the vines look out from the heights of Pauillac. The wine produced here is 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, and 5% Cabernet Franc. It is matured for 16 to 18 months in oak barriques, some of which are new. This Grand Cru Classé is a remarkable example of classic Pauillac.
