Domaine Henri Milan wine
In 1956, Robert Milan bought a property in Saint Rémy de Provence and planted vines there two years later. Over the ensuing years, the entire harvest was sold due to the lack of winemaking equipment. In the 1970’s Robert Milan decided to build a winery to vinify his own wines.

Twenty years after the creation of Domaine Milan, Robert’s son, Henri Milan, took over the domaine, preventing the vines from being grubbed up. His career as a wine producer was influenced by meetings with various individuals, including Claude Bourguignon – the soil microbiologist. This meeting triggered Henri’s decision to convert his vineyards to organic growing.

Another important milestone for Domaine Henri Milan was when it took the deliberate decision to abandon the Baux de Provence AOC in order to benefit from greater freedom in terms of wine production. The wines were therefore classified Vin de Table from 2007, then Vin de France from 2009.
