Riche, notes lardées très nobles, léger grillé, bouche ample avec encore un moelleux qui doit se fondre, confort de bouche de grande classe, salivant et frais malgré sa concentration.
About the vineyard :
For several decades, this estate has embodied an ideal of the absolute in terms of great wines of terroir. Léonard Humbrecht had visionary by acquiring superbly located plots on the Rangen: Clos Windsbuhl, Clos Jebsal, Brand or Hengst, his son Olivier magnifies the expression of the soils with an incredible intensity and power. The style of the estate had an inflection with the transition to biodynamy, in the late 1990s, wines still being more tense and more rights than in the past, even though they retained their wealth and their density. Entry-level wines until the Herrenweg cuvées, are expressive fairly quickly. On the other hand, as soon as someone enters the circle of the great terroirs, a cellaring in the bottle is generally required, the time that the wines express the best high balance between minerality and concentration.
