Domaine du Vissoux
is run by Martine and Pierre-Marie Chermette, pioneers in the development of sustainable growing in the Beaujolais. They manage Domaine du Vissoux’s 30-hectare vineyards (including one hectare of Chardonnay) using an alternative viticulture, which is somewhere between sustainable and organic growing. Pierre-Marie Chermette seeks to be the least intrusive possible, both in terms of the domaine’s wine growing and its winemaking. Because it has been respected, the Domaine du Vissoux terroir

The Domaine du Vissoux wines are aged in a beautiful vaulted cellar containing large oak casks (foudres), built by Pierre-Marie Chermette’s great-grandfather and lovingly preserved in all its original character. The consistently high quality of its wines makes Domaine du Vissoux one of the top domaines in the Beaujolais.
