About this wine : Première récolte pour la cuvée, un jus très concentré qui a bien supporté son élevage, c’est riche et droit mais à réserver à des accords hauts en saveur en raison de la densité de la bouche.

About the vineyard : The estate, porperty of Louis Jadot but independently managed by Guillaume de Castelnau and his team, has grown since its acquisition in 1996. Today, the vineyards covers 90 hectares, mostly in Moulin-à-Vent for which it is a specialist, not without reason since it possesses plots in the best areas, like Rochegrès, la Roche, Carquelins and recently la Rochelle. A respectful viticulture, a careful winemaking and well-balanced agings, everything works to make great wines of Beaujolais, evolving perfectly with time.

About this wine : Le Fleurie est très élégant, équilibré et à la belle structure.

About the vineyard : This flagship estate of Moulin-à-Vent was purchased by  Jadot in 1996. This acquisition has proven to be successful with a rise that very few Beaujolais estates had experienced for almost twenty years. It was a bold, but now transformed, bet for which Pierre-Henri Gagey was committed based on the know-how of Guillaume de Castelnau, the current Director of the Château since 2000. 2014 will be his last harvest as he takes a well deserved retirement. He delimited precisely the various terroirs and developped the area, reaching today about 90 ha in production. The "Burgundian" wines had long given a unique signature in the region. But in recent years, other areas were inspired by this original vision of gamay the Château des Jacques had initiated. All the cuvées parcellaires require a minimum of five years to fully express the unique character of their terroir. It therefore takes patience to take advantage of their complexity !
