« A gruffer, stonier, less evidently fruity scent than many of its peers, though warm, vivid red fruits are nonetheless in evidence.  On the palate, this is a dense, close-grained and impressively structured – textured, grippy, warm, almost meaty, packed with an energy which comes from fruit but which seems to express so much more than fruit. » (Decanter Magazine) A structure and mineral red with great cellaring potential, featuring some beautiful spicy notes...

Guide Bettane & Desseauve des Vins de France

Wine rated (guide 2018) : 16,5/20 (Vin de référence)
Vineyard rated (guide 2019) : 3***Stars (A production of high-quality, that could be used as a reference in its area)

About this wine : Bouquet intense et animal.

About this wine : Un fruit juteux, avenant et juste.

Nestling in the Beaujolais hills, the small village of Villié-Morgon has become a mandatory stopping-off point for wine lovers, because of its appeal and its location on the Beaujolais wine route in the heart of the grands crus. The Morgon AOC dates from 1935, when a National Institute of Appellations of Origin (INAO) decree gave it its birth. The Morgon appellation vineyards are ...
