has been established in Moulin-à-Vent for nearly two centuries. The Labruyère family has always been particularly attached to its vineyards. Over the years, the family has endowed Domaine Labruyère with technical tools which are often innovative for the Moulin-à-Vent appellation: sustainable viticulture, soil ploughing, single vineyard vinifications, temperature-controlled vats, sorting tables, etc., in order to produce wines ideal for laying down.
For the past 10 years, Edouard and Jean-Pierre Labruyère have been concentrating Domaine Labruyère
’s vines within the appellation’s best parcels. In addition to Clos du Carquelin, Clos du Moulin (the appellation’s only monopoly) and the Champ de Cour vines have been added to the spectrum of the property’s terroirs. Today the Moulin à Vent property, today part of the Labruyère family Group’s wine division along with Château Rouget in Pomerol and Domaine Jacques Prieur in Meursault, is undergoing something of a resurgence and is now one of the top domaines in its appellation.
