Brio is a Margaux that offers a lot of finesse and elegance. This second label shows a good freshness and beautiful aromas of very ripe red and dark fruits, also found on the palate with a touch of liquorice and pepper. It is a smooth and velvety wine.

About the vineyard : Ce cru a été racheté par Simon Halabi, un amoureux des grands vins du Médoc et qui donne à une équipe motivée, sous la direction du très sympathique et talentueux José Sanfins, les moyens de faire progresser la qualité. Les derniers millésimes sont tous réussis : des vins plutôt corsés pour margaux mais harmonieux dans leur puissance. Le second vin, brio, manque un peu de panache, malgré son nom, mais la propriété produit un joli blanc sec d’appellation Bordeaux, appelé alto.

About the vineyard : Commandé par un imposant château de style néo-Tudor construit au XIXe s. par le peintre animalier écossais John Lewis Brown, ce domaine - 48 ha plantés sur de belles graves au cœur de l'appellation - a connu une seconde jeunesse d'abord grâce au groupe Axa, et, depuis 2006, sous l'impulsion de la famille Halabi, qui en a confié la direction à José Sanfins.

About the vineyard : L’imposant château est la propriété depuis 2006 d’un homme d’affaires britannique, Simon Halabi. Laissant une large marge de manœuvre à son directeur, José Sanfins, le cru a incontestablement progressé ces dernières années, s’installant parmi les valeurs sûres de l’appellation. Le vin affiche une belle profondeur et a surtout gagné en raffinement. Il faut noter que le château produit depuis 2011 une faible quantité d’un blanc fruité et délicieux, baptisé Alto.
