« This is another estate in Pauillac that has dramatically raised its performance level over the last decade. The 2012, from grapes harvested between October 2 and 17, has supple tannins and a nice mouthfeel that builds incrementally, offering up plenty of crème de cassis, plum and blackberry fruit. The wine is soft, round, opulently textured, and an undeniable success for 2012. The purity of fruit is also admirable. Drink this medium to full-bodied Pauillac over the next 20 years. » (Wine Advocate 2015 - Robert Parker) Delivery in wooden case for each order of 12 bottles of this wine

Guide Bettane & Desseauve des Vins de France

Guide Bettane & Desseauve des Vins de France

Wine rated : 16/20 (Très bon vin)
Vineyard rated (guide 2019) : 3***Stars (A production of high-quality, that could be used as a reference in its area)

Wine rated (guide 2015) : 90/100 (Vin formidable)
Vineyard rated : Recommended (Winery recommended by the Wine Advocate - Robert Parker)

Wine rated (guide 2017) : 15/20 (Bon vin)

About the vineyard : Comme Meyney, Grand-Puy Ducasse appartient à une filiale du Crédit agricole (CA Grands Crus).

Vineyard rated (guide 2019) : Wines regularly rewarded (The wines of this producer are regularly rewarded by the guide)

Pauillac, a famous red Bordeaux, takes its name from a port town on the Gironde estuary. The vineyards are perched on a magnificent hill where they enjoy sandy white gravel soils with good natural drainage that sit on a bedrock of marl with varying levels of limestone. The soil is so poor that nothing can grow here—except vines, which survive by sending their roots deep into the ground ...
