Made with the same care as the first label, Fleur de Pédesclaux shows a deep and dark garnet colour, and a complex and fruity nose, with notes of red berries, roasting, spices and liquorice. Il souhaite visiblement produire un des meilleurs vins de son appellation et il a acquis des terroirs de très haute qualité, proches de Mouton-Rothschild, qui devraient l'aider dans son ambition. Le vieillissement des vignes commence à se sentir avec les trois derniers millésimes...

About the vineyard : C'est l'histoire d'une résurrection. Acquis en 2009 par Jacky Lorenzetti, ex-propriétaire du groupe immobilier Foncia, Pédesclaux sort d'une longue période de médiocrité. Tout ou presque a été remis à plat : une superbe parcelle (ancien château Béhéré) située au cœur de Pauillac a été acquise et intégrée au foncier, un vaste projet de réfection des bâtiments et de l'outil de travail a été conduit par l'architecte Jean-Michel Wilmotte et est opérationnel depuis le millésime 2014, le travail à la vigne et les choix de vinification ont été repensés. Déjà en progrès constant depuis son rachat, le cru monte en puissance. À suivre de près !
