Guide Bettane & Desseauve des Vins de France

Guide Bettane & Desseauve des Vins de France

Wine rated : 15/20 (Très bon vin)
Vineyard rated (guide 2018) : 2**Stars (A reliable production but a little more constant and homogeneous than the previous one)

Wine Advocate - Robert Parker

Wine Advocate - Robert Parker

Wine rated (guide 2013) : 89-91/100 (Vin formidable)
Vineyard rated : Recommended (Winery recommended by the Wine Advocate - Robert Parker)

About this wine : A sleeper of the vintage, this 2012 offers up scents of smoked meats, charcuterie, balsam wood, black currants and unsmoked cigar tobacco in a juicy, attractive, medium-bodied, well-made, lush style. It should drink well for 10-12 years.

Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France - RVF

Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France - RVF

Wine rated (guide 2016) : 15/20 (Bon vin)

Wine Enthusiast

Wine Enthusiast

Wine rated (guide 2015) : 90/100

About this wine : This is firmly structured while still keeping plenty of fruit. Juicy black currants are balanced by some dusty tannins. It's an attractive, rich and concentrated wine that will develop well and over the medium-term. Drink from 2017.

Jancis Robinson

Jancis Robinson

Wine rated (guide 2014) : 16/20

About this wine : Pale rim on a deep crimson. A little obvious sweetness initially but decent enough density. Rather drying tannins on the finish. Good persistence though.

Established in September, 1987, the Bordeaux appellation of Pessac-Léognan sits on the ancient “Gravels of Bordeaux” and was undoubtedly the starting point of viticulture in the region, 2000 years ago. Indeed, under the Roman Empire man already understood that this area, which now encompasses all of the Crus Classés of the Graves region, is particularly well suited to winegrowing. ...
