owns an estate, comprised of vineyards and winery buildings, in the heart of each of the four major wine-growing areas of Burgundy: Chablis, the Côte de Nuits, the Côte de Beaune, and the Côte Chalonnaise. Bichot's team of vineyard managers and cellar masters is led by technical director Alain Serveau.
The four estates all boast property in the best climats (vineyard sites) of several appellations. In this region rich with history, ancestral methods and modern materials complement each other. Fruit from trusted partners is given the same painstaking care as estate-grown grapes. Each vintage is a challenge, and each wine has a story and a terroir to unveil.
The savoir-faire of Albert Bichot resides in respect for nature and the terroir. Practicing sustainable viticulture based on observation, prevention, and attention to the delicate balance of nature, Bichot seeks to preserve Mother Earth for future generations. The wines are always marked by their terroir rather than by a dogmatic house style, but Albert Bichot does strive, year in and year out, to offer delicacy, elegance, and complexity in their white wines and expression, fruit, and integrated tannins in their reds.
