Guide Bettane & Desseauve des Vins de France

Guide Bettane & Desseauve des Vins de France

Vineyard rated (guide 2015) : 4****Stars (The producers of very high-quality wines, those who are the glory of the French vineyard)

About the vineyard : Owned by the Bollinger group, Chanson is led by a highly complementary tandem, Gilles de Courcel for the business and Jean-Pierre Confuron in the vineyard, the cellar and purchases. Featuring, since 2009, a powerful working tool, the House imposed a style based on the freshness, with a very characteristic accuracy of fruit, a style in white linked to the choice of havesting dates and for the red, to the vinification in whole bunch, but without the usual flaws when this type of grape is not from an extremely disciplined viticulture. One cannot quite recommend the wonderful Premier Crus of the estate, in the still too unknown quality-price ratio.

Les Meilleurs Vins de France - Gault Millau

Vineyard rated : 4*Étoiles (Production de très grande qualité)

About the vineyard : The House, which celebrated its 250th anniversary in 2000, has a remarkable 45-hectare vineyard - which two-thirds planted with pinot - pretty young vines and a monopoly: Beaune Clos des Fèves. It also purchases grapes or grape must. Taken over in 1999 by the Bollinger Champagne House, Chanson is passed to the higher level, thanks to the advice of Jean-Pierre Confuron.

About the vineyard : This beautiful beaunoise House, founded in 1750 and owned by Bollinger since 1999, now fully found its marks and its style. It competes with the best through specific and pure wines both in white and red. A state-of-art winery and the advices of Jean-Pierre Confuron, in the vineyard and the vinification, explain the sharpness of expression of the wide range of the winery.
