Guide Bettane & Desseauve des Vins de France

Vineyard rated (guide 2019) : 4****Stars (The producers of very high-quality wines, those who are the glory of the French vineyard)

About the vineyard : This great historic home of Beaune is driven by the Jousset-Drouhin family, with complicity to the vinification of its technical director, Jérôme Faure-Brac. Enormous efforts of own viticulture, of inspiration biodynamic, have transformed the fruits of the field and explain the supplement of maturity of red and white wines. Without renouncing to elegance or the fruity very pure characteristics of house style, wines won them density of material, in a brilliant set that ranges from Chablis to Macon of course by the Gold Coast where all the mythical home, Musigny, Montrachet wines are produced and of course the famous Beaune-clos-des-Mouches.

Vineyard rated : 5*Étoiles (Production remarquable)

About the vineyard : Founded in 1880, the maison Drouhin, in addition to its trading activity, largely developed its own fields with 38 acres operated in Chablis, 32 hectares in Côtes de Nuits and Beaune, as well as 3 hectares in the Côte chalonnaise. The prestigious places here are legion: great Chablis wines Les Clos or Bougros, Beaune Clos des Mouches, Montrachet Marquis de Laguiche, Musigny, Bonnes-Mares, Corton-Charlemagne...

About the vineyard : In recent years, this beautiful home is headed by Frédéric Drouhin, assisted by his sister Véronique for wines and his brother Philippe in the vines. Since July 2013, she opened a wine bar in the heart of Beaune. It has found its cruising speed and is becoming a safe value. It relies on a biodynamic vineyard particularly well provided in great whites - Côte de Beaune but Chablis - including the famous Clos des Mouches. The style has always been focused on the finesse and elegance, but wines have much gained in depth of constitution in recent years.

The Côte de Beaune AOC is a village appellation of the Côte de Beaune in the Côte-d'Or. This appellation may be followed by the name of the climat from which the wine originates. The Côte de Beaune AOC is located on the upper slopes of the hill of Beaune, just above the premier cru plots, at heights of 300-370 metres, on brown soils which are limestone and calcium-rich, Oolitic and ...
