About the vineyard : Under the strict direction of Pierre-Henry Gagey, this winery, belonging to a rich American family, became the most important of Beaune. The wines, now made by the serious and competent Frédéric Barnier who succeeded the flamboyant Jacques Lardière, impress for several years with their impressive regularity: the strength of the House is in the security it provides to the consumer to find, in any name and in all price ranges, a balanced, tasty and very representative of the best of his own wine. The reds may lack immediate charm but are developed for age in wondrous ways.
