« The 2015 Pouilly-Fuissé La Roche [...] has a subtle bouquet with fresh pear and Granny Smith scents, a granitic element that becomes evident with aeration. The palate is lively and fresh on the entry, brisk and mineral-driven, with lovely salinity on the finish that keeps you coming back for another sip. Recommended. » (Wine Advocate 2016 - Robert Parker)

About the vineyard : Boiling Jean-Marie Guffens puts at the service of this House of trading all his talent of négociant-vinificateur-éleveur. He has been refocusing on the Mâconnais wines for several years, which certainly have no equivalent in the region with regard to the volumes offered. One will especially love its Mâcon La Roche and Vergisson, or even its amazing Saint-Véran. Not to mention a Bourgogne Grand Elevage, which demonstrates that it is possible to produce such a generic wine when there is a know-how.

Guide Bettane & Desseauve des Vins de France

Vineyard rated (guide 2019) : 4****Stars (The producers of very high-quality wines, those who are the glory of the French vineyard)

About the vineyard : Global reference of the chardonnay, Jean-Marie Guffens applies in its structure of trading recipes approved for 25 years on its elite field. It can rely on the complicit cooperation of his loyal second, Julien Desplans. Spearhead here remains the Mâconnais, but purchases on Chablis are fairly regular and depending on the vintages there are some fine cuvées in the Côte de Beaune. The booking of en-primeur will be smarter that this can give the opportunity to buy in the screw cap. Finally, it should be noted that it is at this address that can supply Guffens aux Tourettes and Verget du Sud, unbeatable great values commented in the Rhone Valley.

Pouilly-Fuissé is a village appellation in the Mâconnais subregion of Burgundy, in the department of the Saône-et-Loire, with vineyards in the villages of Fuissé, Solutré-Pouilly, Vergisson, and Chaintré. As is common in Burgundy, the name Pouilly-Fuissé may be followed on a wine label by the name of the climat (vineyard site) where the wine was grown. Some of these climats are, ...
