Château des Estanilles
is located in one of the finest terroir of the Faugères appellation in the Languedoc region. The Château des Estanilles
estate was created from nothing in 1976 by Michel Louison, a self-taught man with a profound love of wine. Château des Estanilles
has just changed owner and the upcoming 2010 vintage was vinified by the new team led by Julien Seydoux, the dynamic young investor.
The Château des Estanilles
vineyards cover 35 hectares of vines on the Faugères appellation hillsides. They are worked with rigour and respect according to certified organic growing methods since 2010. The vines are grown without the use of weed killers or chemical fertilizers, using traditional ploughing and organic enrichments in order to maintain soil life and encourage deep rooting. The wines are low in acidity and disclose loads of ripe fruit and spicy aromas. They are easy to drink with a gorgeous tannic structure, yet show great finesse, velvetiness and elegance.
