About this wine :




About the vineyard : Frédéric Mabileau a repris l'intégralité des 27 hectares du domaine familiale en 2003, aidé par son fils. Ici on pratique l'enherbement, l'ébourgeonnage, le travail du sol et la vendange manuelle avec un ramassage en caisses. On est sur l'un des sommets de la Touraine. Le Chenin des Rouillères montre une facette charmeuse du cépage sans rien sacrifier à sa race. Il est désormais accompagné par Chenin du Puy, en Saumurois, dans le même esprit. Les trois Saint Nicolas à la vente incarnent la délicatesse des vins d'appellation.

About this wine : Ses Racines sont celles de ces vieux ceps de plus de quarante ans plantés par le grand-père de Frédéric Mabileau. Elles plongent dans un terroir argilo-graveleux et ont donné ce 2014 bien bâti, élevé dix mois en demi-muids mais qui garde des contours fruités (cassis, cerise), puis dispense une bouche fraîche et épicée, aux tanins bien en place.

About the vineyard :

Frédéric Mabileau est l'une des figures de proue en bourgueil et en saint-nicolas depuis son installation en 1991, en marge de l'exploitation paternelle. En 2003, les deux domaines ont fusionné, si bien que le vignoble couvre 28 ha aujourd'hui. Le producteur a adopté l'agriculture biologique en 2007 et la biodynamie en 2012.

About the vineyard : Le domaine, installé sur un terroir exceptionnellement chaud et précoce avec des sols sablo-graveleux dédiés au cabernet franc, voit le jour en 1991. Frédéric Mabileau a opté pour la bio-culture, avec un labour systématique des sols. Sans conteste, l'intéressé marque son avance à travers sa capacité à proposer des vins d'un grand naturel et pourtant, d'une grande élégance. En Anjou blanc, 2009 a vu la naissance du premier millésime du Chenin des Rouillères. 2012 est l'année de Conversion en biodynamie.
