Domaine Yannick Amirault
is managed by a meticulous, perfectionist wine producer, Yannick Amirault. Domaine Yannick Amirault extends its vineyards over 19 hectares located in Bourgueil and Saint-Nicolas in the Loire Valley, and it has been converting to biodynamic growing since 2009. The Domaine Yannick Amirault
vineyards, exclusively planted with Cabernet Franc, are worked with the greatest of care, in the traditional manner, with the use of ploughing and grass cover. Each parcel of vines is vinified separately and the grapes, which are always perfectly ripe, express the terroirs from which they hail.
In the winery, Yannick Amirault is a firm believer in long vinifications. Here, there is no correction of the must, and no fining or filtration before bottling. Ageing, which lasts at least 12 months, takes place in demi-muids or foudres (larger barrel sizes). This fastidious work enables Domaine Yannick Amirault to make excellent quality Bourgueil and Saint Nicolas de Bourgueil appellation wines.
