About this wine : La série de blancs secs 2015 est de bonne facture avec l'exotisme fin de l'année et seront plutôt à boire jeune sauf le clos de Coulaine qui évoluera avec élégance dans les prochaines années.

About the vineyard : René Papin dispose d'une vaste propriété (45 ha) répartie en Anjou, Coteaux-du-Layon, Quarts-de-Chaume et Savennières. Les blancs secs sont bien ficelés : une approche ronde du chenin et naturellement un supplément de fougue et de vigueur pour les Savennières. Entre passerillage et pourriture noble, les liquoreux demeurent précis, leurs sucres suaves bien intégrés. Les derniers millésimes ont une approche carrée plutôt austère, sans l'élan frais du fruit qui signe les beaux blancs ligériens.
