is a Bandol AOC wine domaine in Sainte Anne du Castellet in Provence. The Domaine de la Bastide Blanche
vineyards grow in an amphitheatre of hills covered with Mediterranean trees and shrubs, and benefit from one of the sunniest climates in France. Southeast-facing, sheltered by the imposing Sainte Baume mountain ridge, they are doubly protected from the wind.
Domaine de la Bastide Blanche’s 28 hectares of vineyards are all classified as Bandol AOC and are planted on hillsides. The vineyard plots, set out on terraces (restanques), have a dry, stony and gravelly soil with a predominantly clay-limestone composition, dating from the Upper Cretaceous.
Here in Bandol, Louis and Michel Bronzo have been producing powerful red wines from the Mourvèdre, the emblematic grape of the appellation, since 1972. Grenache and Cinsault complete the plantations used for the production of red and rosé wines, while Clairette, Ugni Blanc, Sauvignon and Bourboulenc go into the blend of the white wines produced by Domaine de la Bastide Blanche.
