Domaine Saint-André de Figuière
is ideally located between Toulon and Saint-Tropez, near Le Lavandou and Bormes-les-Mimosas, opposite the Isles of Porquerolles, between the Mediterranean Sea and the Massif des Maures.
Run by Alain Combard's three children: Magali, Delphine and François, Domaine Saint-André de Figuière produces Côtes de Provence AOC wines. It has 70 hectares of land, of which 45 hectares are planted with vines and surrounded by pine trees, cork oaks, arbutus and eucalyptus.
The Domaine Saint-André de Figuière vineyards have been grown organically since 1979, and are now Ecocert certified. They grow in the schist soils of the Massif des Maures and the clay-limestone soil of the Centre Var. The area receives one of the highest amounts of sun in France and this helps bring around ten different grape varieties to full maturity. The nearby sea acts as a thermal regulator and allows the Domaine Saint-André Figuière vines to start their vegetative growth earlier in the spring and the harvesting to be completed before the first autumn rains. These are ideal conditions for producing the white and red Côtes de Provence AOC wines that really delight wine lovers.
