« The only Cornas release in this stacked lineup is the 2014 Cornas Chante Perdrix (100% Syrah from the Reynard, Champelrose and St. Romain lieux-dits), which has lots of spice and gamey notions, with ample fruit, crushed rock-like minerality, medium to full body and ripe tannin. It shows the more meaty, gamey side of the appellation and has a great finish. » (Wine Advocate 2016 - Robert Parker).

Guide Bettane & Desseauve des Vins de France

Wine rated (guide 2017) : 15,5/20 (Très bon vin)
Vineyard rated (guide 2019) : 3***Stars (A production of high-quality, that could be used as a reference in its area)

About the vineyard : Maison fondée en 1835, propriété depuis 1977 du Champagne Deutz (groupe Roederer).

This appellation’s area is restricted to the commune of Cornas in the Ardèche département on the right bank of the Rhône. This wine has been famous since the 10h century. It was served at the tables of royalty in France and abroad. In the 19th century, the wine of Cornas was as well known as Châteauneuf-du-Pape, but phylloxera and urbanization very nearly wiped it out. Cornas ...
