Domaine de Bonserine
is located in Ampuis, and has 9 hectares of vineyards in Côte-Rôtie and 1 hectare in Condrieu in the following prestigious locations: Côte-blonde, Côte-Brune, les Moutonnes, la Viallière, Leyat, le Champin, Fondjean, Planèze in the Côte-Rôtie, and Les Eyguets and La Grande in Condrieu. The Domaine de Bonserine
vineyards consist mainly of old Syrah vines, known as "Serine", which are ancient varieties of Syrah producing small, loose bunches of grapes with unique aromas.
The vines of the Domaine de Bonserine are sustainably-grown with the use of composted manures and ploughing in spring to encourage their deep rooting. Controlled grassing of the vineyards and green harvesting are used to curb the load which is restricted to 4-6 clusters per vine. The vinification work seeks to bring out and reveal the full potential of each terroir. Each parcel is vinified separately without yeasting, using its own natural yeasts. The wine is then aged over a period of 22 to 36 months depending on the unique character of each vintage.
