« It offers lots of graphite, crushed rock, leather and smoky dark fruits, full-bodied richness, impressive mid-palate concentration, and a tight, closed feel on the palate. It needs 3-5 years of cellaring and will have three decades of longevity.» (Wine Advocate 2015 - Robert Parker)

Guide Bettane & Desseauve des Vins de France

Guide Bettane & Desseauve des Vins de France

Wine rated (guide 2015) : 17,5/20 (Vin de référence)
Vineyard rated (guide 2018) : 5*****Stars (Exceptional producers, representing the very top of quality in France and in the world)

About this wine : Marginalement plus fumé, plus énergique et de plus grand potentiel de vieillissement que le 2009, excellente race en fin de bouche.

About the vineyard : Guigal, c'est d'un côté un brillant négoce en achat de vins, à l'origine d'un des plus étonnants côtes-du-rhône du marché, et d'un autre côté des vins issus du domaine, donc les fameuses mouline, landonne et turque en côte-rôtie.

Wine rated (guide 2015) : 15,5/20 (Bon vin)

Hermitage is one of the great wines of France. The wine producing area dates back to the 4th century BC. Hermitage wine was served at the table of kings, including Louis XIII. The story goes that the Knight Sterimberg, weary of fighting the Albigensians, decided to retire and dedicate himself to a life of prayer and the cultivation of the vine surrounding a hermitage at the top of the ...
