« The 2014 Lirac Cuvee de La Reine des Bois is an incredible effort that transcends the vintage and is easily the wine of the vintage from Lirac. Possessing fabulous purity and elegance, with medium to full-bodied richness, classic notes of crème de cassis, caramelized meats, violets and licorice, sweet tannin and a great finish, I doubt it will be the longest lived example of this cuvée, but man, hats off to the team for this killer wine in a difficult vintage! » (Wine Advocate 2016 - Robert Parker)

Guide Bettane & Desseauve des Vins de France

Wine rated (guide 2017) : 15/20 (Très bon vin)
Vineyard rated : 3***Stars (A production of high-quality, that could be used as a reference in its area)

Renowned since ancient times, the wines from Lirac brought prosperity to the region. Over the centuries, the port of Roquemaure became powerful and prosperous, exporting "Côte du Rhône" wines to Paris, England and the Netherlands. The wines of Lirac were decreed an AOC in 1947. Set out in terraces and hills, the Lirac vineyards nestle on the right bank of the Rhône facing those of ...
