Ratings : Robert Parker 89-91/100, RVF (Special Edition - Vintage 2014) 14-15/20
« The 2014 St Joseph should be a terrific effort in the vintage. Coming all from granite soils, completely destemmed, vinified in stainless steel and concrete tanks, and aged in 30% new barrels, it reveals tons of violet and spring flower-like characteristics as well as juicy berry fruits, licorice and subtle minerality. Medium-bodied, elegant and streamlined, is shines more for its purity and freshness than sheer power and richness . » (Wine Advocate 2015 - Robert Parker)

RVF - La Revue du Vin de France

Wine rated (guide 2015) : 14-15/20

Vineyard rated (guide 2019) : 2**Stars (A reliable production but a little more constant and homogeneous than the previous one)

About the vineyard : Philippe Desmeure et sa fille Émilie ont bien développé ce domaine familial.

Le Guide Hachette des Vins

Vineyard rated (guide 2019) : Wines regularly rewarded (The wines of this producer are regularly rewarded by the guide)

The vineyards of Saint-Joseph stretch from Chavanay south to Guilherand, covering about 50 kilometers (31 miles) along the right bank of the Rhône and extending into 23 villages in Ardèche and three in the Loire department. The light soils of schist and gneiss sit on a granite bedrock, and the vineyards mainly face south-southeast. The moderate continental climate here brings hot, dry ...
