« This top wine from Lamartine is a fine, solid expression of the firm nature of young Malbec. It has dark, dense black fruits layered behind the dry, tight tannins. With this concentration, this is a wine that needs to age. » (Wine Enthusiast 2015)

Guide Bettane & Desseauve des Vins de France

Guide Bettane & Desseauve des Vins de France

Wine rated (guide 2016) : 14/20 (Bon vin)
Vineyard rated (guide 2019) : 2**Stars (A reliable production but a little more constant and homogeneous than the previous one)

About this wine : Forte couleur, nez net, ensemble équilibré ayant conservé de la fraîcheur, corps souple, tannin assez racé, soigné à défaut de vraie grandeur

About the vineyard : Une propriété classique de l'appellation, on y produit des Cahors solides et tanniques, au prix d'une certaine austérité pour les vins de base.

Le Guide Hachette des Vins

Le Guide Hachette des Vins

Wine rated (guide 2015) : Cité (Vin réussi)
Vineyard rated (guide 2019) : Wines regularly rewarded (The wines of this producer are regularly rewarded by the guide)

Wine rated (guide 2016) : 14/20 (Bon vin)

Established in 1971, the Cahors appellation straddles the Lot River and stretches south onto the Causses du Quercy, to the west of its eponymous city, in the Lot department. The 4,000 hectares (9,884 acres) of vineyards here produce about 150,000 hectoliters of wine annually. The Lot Valley is divided into three terraces composed of alluvium from the Massif Central. The soils drain ...
