Château Laurou wine
Château Laurou, acquired in 1997 by Guy Salmona, is located near the Tarn and covers an area of 45 hectares of vines in the Fronton AOC.

The soils are made up of white boulbènes (sandy), fairly poor land which is perfect for the vine. The plantings include the appellation’s very own native grape variety, the Négrette (51%), which possesses aromatic finesse and surprising complexity, giving the wines a very distinctive character. The Syrah (27%), Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon (15%), Gamay (8%) and Fer Servadou (1%) are also grown.

Having started its conversion to organic farming in 2009, Château Laurou obtained its organic certification in 2013.
