Markus Molitor - Moselle Riesling Haus Klosterberg 2021
88/100
Robert Parker
"All the beauty of the German countryside!"
"The 2021 Riesling Haus Klosterberg (White Cap) is clear, pure, and fresh on the nose with citrus, crisp, fresh, and wonderfully green notes. On the palate, it is a fruity, round, and flavorful Riesling, very energetic and stimulating with young, fresh, and crisp phenols. Of medium length, neither too complex, it is a dry and straightforward Riesling. (The Wine Advocate 2023)

Another great success in 2021 for this Haus Klosterberg, as refined as ever with its silky texture carried by a beautiful crystalline freshness. Lively, slender, and textured, the palate unfolds delicious ripe lemon flavors and, to a lesser extent, yellow fruit, served by a vibrant mineral tension. The very slightly iodine and stony acidity stretches the substance, giving it an incisive character towards an infinite amplitude. Good value for money, consistent for three years. Natural and very light at 11.50%, this beautiful Riesling was tasted after aeration, with a salmon tartare with lime and Granny Smith apple. Rating = 4.2.
