"Its gray slate terroir gives it its name, 'Tonschiefer,' and lends it an explosive minerality!"
"Vibrant aromas of white peach and white flowers are paired with intense slate minerality in this dry Riesling from the Nahe region, which is both elegant and precise. It is quite structured, although it is only moderately full-bodied. Wonderful stony intensity in the very long, bright finish. Drink now or hold. Screw cap." (James Suckling 2024)

About wine:
Dönnhoff's Riesling Tonschiefer trocken 2023 is clear and vegetal on the nose, intense, fresh, and spicy. The charming fruit only comes through on the palate, which is round, lush, fruity, and elegant, with fine, elegant acidity and a clear, fresh, and flavorful finish. This is a good, serious Riesling from the Nahe region, bottled with a screw cap and a declared alcohol content of 12%. Tasted in October 2024. 2024-2032
