Domaine Chandon Argentina was founded in Argentina in 1959 by Robert-Jean De Vogüé and Renaud Poirier, the first cellar master. Seduced by this unique place, nestled in a desert and by its great thermal amplitudes, they found their exceptional terroir. The estate is located in Agrelo, more than 1,000 m above sea level.
Robert-Jean de Vogüé, then President of Moët & Chandon, had the vision, courage and audacity to redefine the world of wine, convinced that new terroirs would open up an exciting era for quality sparkling wines.
Chandon Argentina is committed to a sustainable and socially responsible approach.
Chandon Argentina is the first Moët & Chandon company to set up outside France. It has established itself as a brand in its own right, producing unique sparkling wines from unexpected terroirs. Today, it operates 500 hectares of vineyards, and its technical facilities are on a par with the company's ambitions.
