Rating: Robert Parker 91/100, RVF 16/20
The Gamay grape expresses itself beautifully on this soil of weathered sandstone and granite, situated on a southeast-facing slope midway up the hillside. The Morgon La Voûte Saint-Vincent is a wine that opens with aromas of red berries—blueberry and blackberry—and boasts a lovely length with fairly pronounced tannins. A Morgon of choice!

About the estate:
This iconic Beaujolais estate, renowned for both its history and its reputation, is a shining star in Morgon and throughout the Beaujolais region. The vineyard spans 13 hectares, five of which are located on the Côte de Py. At the helm of the estate, Claude-Emmanuelle and her brother Louis-Benoît, known for their rigor and attention to detail, are the worthy successors to a tradition of excellence. The latest vintages, combining finesse and richness, are always elegant.

Rated estate (2023 guide) 3*Stars (These represent the pinnacle of French winemaking. The finest terroirs cultivated by the greatest winemakers. Tasting their wine is always a magical experience)
About the estate:
Anyone who has tasted a wine from the Desvignes siblings—Claude-Emmanuelle and Louis-Benoît—has experienced a special emotion. Here, the pursuit of aesthetic excellence focuses on the subtle expression of specific vineyard sites (primarily in Morgon), the right balance of substance according to the vintage, and aging potential—all stemming from meticulous viticulture, sensitive winemaking free from dogma, and refined, wood-free aging. The third star has been pinned to the estate’s lapel for several years now, and given the consistency and coherence of the range, we suspect it will remain there for many years to come.

Very rich and complex; it needs to be cellared for another 2–3 years or decanted for a good hour to be fully appreciated. The overripe fruit is clearly evident in this sun-drenched vintage. Delicious and intense.
