“Fresh and ripe cherry, as well as candied raspberry, accompanied by black tea in this 2011 Morgon La Voûte Saint-Vincent, with a polished and juicy palate and a lingering finish that incorporates the delicious tartness of cherry pits, the invigorating character of fresh ginger, and maritime salinity. A wine to seek out that will age beautifully until at least 2016.” (Wine Advocate - Robert Parker)

Wine rated (2014 guide) 15/20 (Good wine)

Rated estate (2023 guide) 3*Stars (These represent the pinnacle of French winemaking. The finest terroirs cultivated by the greatest winemakers. Tasting their wine is always a magical experience)

About the wine:

With its juicy, fruit-forward character and notes of crushed raspberry, La Voûte Saint-Vincent is instantly appealing.

About the estate:

Anyone who has tasted a wine from the Desvignes siblings—Claude-Emmanuelle and Louis-Benoît—has experienced a special emotion. Here, the pursuit of aesthetic excellence focuses on the subtle expression of specific vineyard sites (primarily in Morgon), the right balance of substance according to the vintage, and aging potential—all stemming from meticulous viticulture, sensitive winemaking free from dogma, and refined, wood-free aging. The third star has been pinned to the estate’s lapel for several years now, and given the consistency and coherence of the range, we suspect it will remain there for many years to come.

A real letdown—I've had Beaujolais Villages from the same vintage that are far superior!

Quite disappointing. The acidity overpowers the fruit. Best to leave it in the cellar for another year or two and hope for the best...
