The Morgon Javernières cuvée comes from the same Côte du Py vineyard, but from the southern foothills of the hill. The soils differ slightly, being more clay-rich, and produce wines that are distinctive, tannic, and yet even silkier and more harmonious. These are Morgons with great aging potential. The 2007 vintage is charming, with luscious fruit and a rich, intense palate. A beautiful bottle!

Here, the pursuit of aesthetic excellence focuses on the subtle expression of specific vineyard sites (primarily in Morgon), the right balance of substance according to the vintage, and aging potential—all stemming from meticulous viticulture, sensitive winemaking free from dogma, and refined, wood-free aging. The third star has been pinned to the estate’s lapel for several years now, and given the consistency and coherence of the range, we suspect it will remain there for many years to come.
