Château du Moulin-à-Vent - Champ de Cour 2010

Château du Moulin-à-Vent - Champ de Cour 2010

Notes: Robert Parker 88–89+/100, RVF 16/20
Le Champ de Cour is a southeast-facing plateau whose rich clay and five-mineral content give it a unique texture. This “climat” produces a complex wine with superb red fruit expression and remarkable minerality. Superb!

Rated estate (2023 guide): 4* Stars (Producers of the very highest quality, the pride of French viticulture)

About the estate:

The ambitious and comprehensive renovation of the vineyard and winery initiated by Jean-Jacques Parinet is now yielding the expected results. Progress has been remarkable, and the estate continues to lead the appellation. He is supported by a talented team, including Édouard Parinet, their cellar master Brice Lafon, and their communications manager Morgane Chambriard. A key player for the appellation and the region, he is a formidable ambassador who builds value and reputation both in France and around the world.

Rated estate (2023 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing wines of a high standard—you won’t be disappointed when you taste the wines from these estates)

About the estate:

Since its acquisition by the Parinet family in 2009, this vast estate has invested significant resources in revitalizing the Moulin-à-Vent appellation, much like Château des Jacques did in its day. In a modern Gamay style, with long, carefully managed aging in oak, the numerous single-vineyard cuvées express the complexity and diversity of the soils. With the 2016 vintage, the estate’s first white wines (4.5 hectares) in the Mâcon and Pouilly-Fuissé appellations were released under the name Roc des Boutires.
