Tasting notes by Nicolas Rebut, Head Sommelier at the Hôtel Le Meurice (3 Michelin stars):
The color is a deep garnet red. The nose offers good aromatic intensity, with notes of black fruit, spices, and a hint of vanilla. The overall impression is charming and very pleasant. The palate is exceptionally silky and velvety. This wine is charming, full-bodied, and structured with an elegant tannic framework. The texture is dense and homogeneous. The Merlot grape variety contributes all this velvety smoothness and roundness. The finish is persistent, of great finesse, and supported by a lovely freshness. This great wine has no trouble establishing itself as a magnificent success in this exceptional 2005 vintage. It will delight you now as well as in a few years. It is a versatile wine, perfect as an aperitif or paired with a rib of beef, beef stew, venison tenderloin, or pikeperch fillet in a red wine sauce. Satisfaction Guaranteed or Your Money Back!
