Note: Hachette Guide 2** (remarkable wine) + Editor’s Choice
Grown on clay-limestone soils that produce wines that are quite warm, round, and full-bodied, the 2006 Château Les Tours de Peyrat cuvée—made from old vines cultivated using sustainable methods and with moderate yields—stands out for its notes of red fruit enveloped in a subtle and elegant oakiness. A harmonious and complex Premières Côtes de Blaye. A beautiful wine!
