Rating: Guide Hachette 2** (Outstanding Wine), Le Point (Jacques Dupont) 16/20
“Jean-Marc Landureau has crafted a wine with a purplish-black color, whose rich and noble bouquet strikes a balance between fruit, oak, and a floral touch. Bold on the attack, the palate reveals powerful tannins supporting a full body with pleasant toasted and spicy aromas. A bottle for the cellar (four to five years). ” (Guide Hachette des vins 2010). One of the appellation’s sure bets!

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2021 guide) 1*Star (A high-quality, recommendable wine that lives up to what one would expect from its appellation(s))
About the estate:
A consistent, well-balanced Médoc offering excellent value for money, crafted by its unassuming winemaker, Jean-Marc Landureau, since 1989. It boasts a quintessential Médoc style, with a velvety texture that is more about elegance than sheer power. With its 2016 vintage, the estate has produced one of its finest vintages in a long time.
Guide Hachette des vins
Rated estate (Guide 202) Award-winning wines (This producer's wines regularly receive awards from the guide)
About the estate:
Jean Landureau acquired the property in 1934 and converted it into a stud farm. His son Jean-Michel expanded the vineyard and sold the grapes to the cooperative until the arrival of the third generation and Jean-Marc, who took over in 1990. Following Jean-Marc’s passing, his daughter Anne took over the estate, which maintains consistent quality and has been in the process of converting to biodynamic farming since 2018.
