“A superbly balanced wine with an impeccably velvety texture, where the nuances of violet flavors are superb; it has remarkable length on the palate, and this wine fully reveals itself three hours after opening.” (The Bettane & Desseauve Guide to French Wines 2012)

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2019 guide): 4* Stars (Producers of the very highest quality, the pride of French viticulture)
About the estate:
The Delon family’s purchase of the estate in 1997 allowed Nénin to regain its standing, which it has easily surpassed in recent vintages. While 2015 promises to be magnificent, the 2014, 2013, 2012, 2011, and 2010 vintages are full of character. The acquisition, at the end of the 20th century, of part of Certan-Giraud allowed the estate to rely on one of Pomerol’s finest terroirs. Far less showy than most of its peers, it is built for aging and constantly evolving. The lingering tannins unfold beautifully, with great energy and a superb floral and spicy finish.

About the estate:
RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France
Rated estate (2019 guide) 2*Stars (These exceptional estates, often blessed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves that, thanks to the consistency and excellence of their wines, deserve a place in the cellars of discerning wine lovers)
About the estate:
The Delon family, owners of the renowned Château Léoville Las Cases in Saint-Julien and Château Potensac in the Médoc, purchased this large estate in 1997 and have spared no effort to restore it to the highest standards of quality. They undertook major renovations, and a new milestone was reached in 1999 with the expansion of the vineyard through the purchase of half of the former Château Certan Giraud (the other half belonging to the Jean-Pierre Moueix estate, under the name Hosanna). The wines produced here display a classic character; they are often somewhat austere and severe in their youth, but they age remarkably well. The quality of the wines continues to improve thanks to a rigorous selection process (generally only 30 to 40% of the production makes it into the grand vin). The most recent vintages are all highly recommended, more approachable in their youth without sacrificing their depth or class. With prices remaining reasonable, these are excellent buys for lovers of pure, distinguished wines.
