Château Talbot 2008
Scores: Robert Parker 89–91/100, RVF 15/20
“The 2008 vintage offers greater maturity and body than the 2007; more intense on the nose and palate, it does not lack fluidity. Ranking among the estate’s fine classics, this wine marks the beginning of a renaissance. ” (Les Meilleurs Vins de France 2011 - RVF)

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2022 guide): 4* Stars (Producers of the very highest quality, the pride of French viticulture)
About the estate:
This estate, one of the most deservedly popular in the Médoc, is still owned by the Cordier family. It produces a substantial volume of wine, which has gained in character and definition since 2014. For many, Talbot embodies the ideal Saint-Julien: generously aromatic, very consistent, and reliable for aging. A lovely dry white wine, aromatic and lively, continues to be produced under the Caillou-Blanc label. The intelligent winemaking, carried out with the help of Stéphane Derenoncourt in a skillfully modernized vat room and cellar, is bearing fruit.
