Ratings: Robert Parker 92–94/100, RVF 17/20, Gault Millau 17/20
“It will delight refined palates not seeking the extravagant. It offers a delicate structure and reveals notes of iris and peony. Lovely crispness on the palate, very invigorating.” (Les Meilleurs Vins de France 2011 - Gault Millau). A truly beautiful 2009 vintage for this estate in the midst of a renaissance!

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2022 guide): 4* Stars (Producers of the very highest quality, the pride of French viticulture)
About the estate:
This estate, one of the most deservedly popular in the Médoc, is still owned by the Cordier family. It produces a substantial volume of wine, which has gained in character and definition since 2014. For many, Talbot embodies the ideal Saint-Julien: generously aromatic, very consistent, and reliable for aging. A lovely dry white wine, aromatic and lively, continues to be produced under the Caillou-Blanc label. The intelligent winemaking, carried out with the help of Stéphane Derenoncourt in a skillfully modernized vat room and cellar, is bearing fruit.
