Château Les Justices - Sauternes 2007
Rating: RVF 16.5/20, Bettane & Desseauve 15/20, Gault Millau 14/20, Guide Hachette 1* (Very successful wine)
“A 2007 vintage that plays the exotic card, with notes of frangipane and puff pastry. The palate is rich and full-bodied, yet retains its tension and balance.” (Les Meilleurs Vins de France 2012 - RVF)

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2017 guide): 3 stars (High-quality production, setting the standard in its sector)
About the estate:
This 8.5-hectare estate, located in Preignac in the northern Sauternes region, produces some of the most consistent and finest unclassified wines in Sauternes. The estate is owned by the very friendly Gonet-Medeville family, who also own the excellent champagnes of the same name, the legendary Château Gilette, and Château Respide-Medeville in the Graves appellation.
Guide des Vins Gault & Millau
3-star rated estate (High-quality production)
About the estate:
The Médeville family is a leading name in Sauternes. As owners of Château Gilette, they have also managed Château Les Justices for over two centuries. Although grown on a terroir less expressive than that of Gilette—composed of gravel, sand, and some clay—the wines of Château Les Justices nevertheless benefit from the Médevilles’ expertise and are consistently elegant and of high quality.
RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France
Rated estate (2017 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing high-quality wines—you won’t be disappointed when you taste the wines from these estates)
About the estate:
Julie Médeville and her husband Xavier Gonet, who also own the legendary Château Gilette, run this lovely estate, well known among bargain hunters in Sauternes. The estate produces a Sauternes with a deliciously fragrant bouquet and no excess sweetness. The wine develops fairly quickly in the bottle and, in great vintages, rivals the appellation’s top classified growths. A sure bet, distinguished by the fact that it is not aged in barrels.
