About the estate:
“As the only estate in the Clos that produces its own wine, Château de la Tour is also the largest landowner there, with 6 hectares located in the upper part of the vineyard. The château was built in 1890 by the family’s ancestors. The current owners are the two sisters, Jacqueline Labet and Nicole Delechette, and the estate has been managed since 1986 by François, Jacqueline’s son. In the 1970s and early 1980s, the wine was of little interest. It took the young François Labet calling upon Guy Accad to produce remarkable wines, such as in 1987. After Guy Accad left, the estate continued to improve, with the help of Jean-Pierre Confuron.”

About the estate:
“This château is the only one located within the Clos de Vougeot, of which it is also the principal owner. The estate began bottling its wines in the 1930s. After a significant decline in quality in the 1970s and early 1980s, the quality improved dramatically when the young François Labet brought in Guy Accad. Produced with the help of Sylvain Pataille starting with the 2009 vintage, the wine is now at its peak. Whole-cluster vinification and aging in partially new barrels yield a wine of exceptional quality, on par with the greatest.”
