New vintage: The 2008 was rated by Bettane & Desseauve 16/20
The Drouhin estate likes to follow a rule that may seem simple but is an absolute priority here: "The expression of the terroir and respect for the vintage." This Gevrey-Chambertin, from a superb 2009 vintage, is a perfect example of this. With its intense black fruit aromas typical of the appellation, the finesse of the oak, the elegance of the tannins, a lovely richness, all supported by a beautiful freshness, this village wine has everything to charm...

Rated estate (2022 guide) 2*Stars (These exceptional estates, often blessed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves that, thanks to the consistency and excellence of their wines, deserve a place in the cellars of discerning wine lovers)

About the estate:

The estate is now led by Frédéric Drouhin, supported by his sister Véronique for the wines and his brother Philippe for the vineyards. In July 2013, it opened a wine bar in the heart of Beaune. It has found its stride and is establishing itself as a sure bet. The estate draws on a biodynamic vineyard particularly well-stocked with great white wines, in the Côte-de-Beaune as well as in Chablis (wines sold under the Drouhin-Vaudon label), including the famous Clos des Mouches.
