This Meursault comes from an 8.64-hectare plot in the "Les Clous" vineyard, and opens with an intense nose of fruit and floral notes. This lovely white wine offers plenty of vibrancy and subtlety, as well as good aging potential. A lovely bottle, full of charm!

Rated estate (2023 guide): 4* Stars (Producers of the very highest quality, the pride of French viticulture)

About the estate:

From Cazetiers to Bouzeron, this major Beaune-based wine merchant, founded in 1731, owns more than 142 plots across 130 hectares of vineyards, including 73 hectares of Premier Cru and Grand Cru vineyards. This first-rate wine-growing heritage allows Frédéric Weber, a talented winemaker previously in charge of Château de Poncié, to produce approximately 600,000 bottles out of the total three million units produced here each year, with the majority of production coming from purchased grapes for the grand crus and from carefully selected musts for the whites other than those from the estate. Impressive success with both whites and reds in recent vintages.

It’s at its peak. An excellent Meursault—rich on the palate, with a long finish and subtle oak notes. A real treat! Tasted on 7/17 with lemon chicken.
