Old Ballantruan

The origins of Old Ballantruan lie in the heart of the Cromdale Hills in Scotland, where a pure spring of the same name, Ballantruan, gave this spirit its name. 

Founded in 1964 by W&S. Strong & Co and Hay & HacLeod & Co, Old Ballantruan whiskies are distilled using traditional methods (at the Tomontoul distillery) from heavily peated malted barley, a unique and atypical practice for their region of Speyside. 

The barley and peat used in the distillation process are locally sourced, and the water comes exclusively from the pure Ballantruan spring. This deep respect for their region and Scottish tradition makes these single malt whiskies of exceptional quality today.

Their range consists of their "peated" Speyside Glenlivet single malt whisky and their 10-year-old Speyside Glenlivet single malt whisky.
