"A new blend of Unico vintages: 2011, 2012 and 2013, Cuvée Especial once again expresses all the essence of Vega Sicilia in this unique nectar, which can be enjoyed today or laid down for sixty years!

" The NV Único Reserva Especial 2025 Release has been produced from a blend of wines from 2011, 2012 and 2013, [...] We find the heart of the 2012, perhaps also the highest percentage of the blend, which gives power and structure with freshness and tension from the 2013, which also brings some balsamic characteristics, and less from the 2011. The nose is very harmonious and subtle, and the wine shows increased complexity and elegance. It has the nose of the Único with more nuance and subtlety, but what I liked most was the silky texture and elegant tannins, which, as usual, combine more developed characteristics with elegance and freshness. This is an exceptional new edition of their classic non-vintage blend, which is gradually returning to the style of yesteryear. 2025-2040" (Wine Advocate 2025) - Wooden case delivery available for orders of 3 bottles of this wine (depending on country and shipping method selected).

About the wine:

The NV Único Reserva Especial 2025 Release was produced from a blend of wines from 2011, 2012 and 2013, with 14% alcohol, a pH of 3.86 and five grams of acidity. There's the heart of the 2012, perhaps also the highest percentage of the blend, which gives power and structure with the freshness and tension of the 2013, which also brings some balsamic characteristics, and less of the 2011. The nose is very harmonious and subtle, and the wine shows increased complexity and elegance. About the wine:

Graphite, truffle, tobacco, sapidity and pure silk tannins. It offers great balance and depth. The aromas are multiple and the balance between supple tannins and a clearly tertiary aromatic profile, with dried herbs and lots of cedar. 2024-2045

About the wine:

This is the 2025 edition of Vega Sicilia. It's a blend of three vintages: 2011, 2012 and 2013. Blackberry, ashtray, incense, fine spices, dark chocolate and hints of black pepper and balsamic. Almost something bloody, but the highlight is really the pure, velvety slickness of soft, fully melted tannins, which are ultra-polished and refined. The long finish lasts more than a minute. Drink now or in the meantime.
