Sakurao
It all began in 1918 with the creation of Chugoku Jozo. The group took the time to perfect its alcohol production in order to offer delicious liqueurs that are recognized and appreciated by all Japanese people. A century later (in 2018), the Japanese distillerySakurao was born. Based in the city of Hatsukaichi, in Hiroshima Prefecture, this factory, rich in heritage and experience, borders the Seto Inland Sea and faces Miyajima Island.
Sakurao is also known for its commitment to the environment. The spring water used in the alcohol production process is drawn from the Oze River, located a few steps from the distillery. Similarly, most of the botanicals are grown in Hiroshima and the surrounding area near the distillery.
Local and artisanal production is one of Sakurao's greatest advantages.
Cocktail idea for enjoying Original Gin:Pink
Lady - 4 cl Sakurao Original Gin
- 1 cl grenadine syrup
- 2 cl lemon juice
Put these three ingredients in a shaker, add a few ice cubes, and shake vigorously. Then remove the ice cubes and excess water and enjoy with or without a straw!
Cocktail idea for enjoying Gin Classic: Gin and Tonic
- 2.5 cl Sakurao Classic Gin
- 1.5 cl lemon juice
- 5 cl ginger ale
Put the Sakurao Classic Gin and lemon juice in a shaker with ice cubes. Shake vigorously, then pour the mixture into a glass. To finish the cocktail, top it up with ginger ale and enjoy!
