"Les Claviers 2012, spectacularly intense, slowly opens up with complex aromas reminiscent of warm butter, sage and dried apricot; very structured, its palate has the restraint and tannic texture of a great red wine. " (Le Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France 2015 - RVF) Pierre Quinonero, a talented winemaker, offers here a white wine with a subtly oxidative style, both intriguing and very elegant.

About wine:
Les Claviers 2012, spectacularly intense, opens slowly with complex aromas reminiscent of warm butter, sage and dried apricot. Highly structured, its palate has the restraint and tannic texture of a great red wine.
About the estate:
After a period as a cooperative, Pierre Quinonero and Murielle Clavier bottled their first vintage in 1998. Located at the foot of the village of Caux, the vineyard includes old Carignan vines and ancient Ugni and Clairette vines, some of which are over a hundred years old. The Grenache and Syrah vines that have been replanted are the result of mass selection. In the cellar built with friends, the option of whole harvest with long maceration produces a red wine, Les Armières (90% Carignan), with solid acidity and tannins refined in concrete vats and wooden casks. Refusing to take the easy route, the small production of white wine is aged for a long time and is highly original. The demanding style sometimes makes the wines difficult for novices to appreciate.
